Info & booking
This page is the hub for Knives in & Out: how it works, what I sharpen, and how to book.
I focus on practical sharpness, not fragile show edges. Every knife is sharpened by hand using a professional belt system and finished to a working edge that feels good on the board and holds up in real use.
What I sharpen
- Kitchen knives: chef, utility, paring, etc.
- Outdoor & EDC: folding knives, fixed blades, camp knives.
- Other edges on a case-by-case basis – send a photo first.
Typical kitchen knives start around $8 per knife. As I'm a new business I'm doing first knife free and all others at $5 per knife. Exact pricing depends on condition and damage (chips, broken tips, etc.).
Who I am
I’m the person behind Knives In & Out — a knife sharpening service built for people who actually use their knives.
I care less about mirror-polish showpieces and more about edges that feel good on the board, stay sharp, and make cooking or working easier. I started sharpening because I was tired of fighting dull knives in my own kitchen, and it turned into a craft I really enjoy.
When you hand me your knives, I treat them like my own: honest communication, realistic expectations, and no gimmicks — just clean, usable edges.
